Did you notice how we titled the page legal debt elimination? Want to know why we would do something so silly? Well, when you work in our field long enough, and when you answer a bunch of debt-related email everyday, you start to hear some pretty ridiculous things. There are legal ways to eliminate debt, and there are less than legal ways - which are then illegal. Please make note of the examples below.

Nowadays, legal debt elimination is everywhere you look. On the computer. On the television. In the local phone book. Just about anywhere you turn you can find debt consolidation, debt settlement, and a slew of other effective and legal ways to eliminate debt. You can even find free debt counseling online these days. Why bother risking both your financial freedom and personal freedom with ridiculous solutions?

Less than legal...

Like we mentioned earlier, when you answer debt-related email all day, you hear some very peculiar things. We don't recommend or condone any of the following methods of debt elimination:

• a change in identity
• a murderous killing spree
• any event that involves hostage activity
• an event that involves threatening an annoying creditor (no matter how annoying)
